Position Overview:

The Videographer will be responsible for creating digital video content that highlights our products, corporate events, and installation processes. This role reports directly to the Marketing & Digital Content Manager and is primarily based at our Loris headquarters. The position will also require some travel to our distribution centers.


 **Please Note: This is an on-site position and not eligible for remote work.** 
1. Photography & Content Execution
  • Plan and execute photography of products, including 360-degree imaging, for the website, print catalog, social media, emails, and other marketing collateral material.
  • Coordinate off-site video and photography shoots featuring product installation and product training videos.
  • Responsible for editing, color correction, cropping, sizing, and indexing of photography.
  • Process digital content through photoshop as necessary to complete final digital content.

2. Studio & Equipment Management

  • Manage in-house studios where most product photography and digital videos are created.
  • Operate, maintain, and set-up all photography, video, audio, and lighting equipment.
  • Properly maintain and store all assigned equipment in good working order.

3. Content Management & Collaboration

  • Maintain digital content records according to SOP standards on corporate IT systems.
  • Work with the Catalog and Data Manager to create digital content according to customer standards.
  • Assist Catalog team with research projects on an as needed basis.

 

Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to the Digital Marketing, Content and Media Manager.
  • This position has no direct reports.
Requirements

 

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or associate degree in photography, videography or related degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of directly related work experience in photography and videography. Must have experience filming, directing, and editing video.

Skills & Abilities

  • Technical Proficiency: 
    • Proficient using DLSR, video, audio, and lighting equipment.
    • Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
    • Strong understanding of video production techniques, including lighting, sound, and composition.
    • Excellent storytelling and communication skills.
    • Creative problem-solver with the ability to foster and develop others’ ideas as well as your own.
    • Ability to work independently on projects and collaborate as a strong team member.
    • Excellent attention to detail and extremely organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Passion for automotive culture and knowledge of aftermarket auto parts is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solver with the ability to foster and develop others’ ideas as well as your own.
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently on projects and collaborate as a strong team member.
  • Organization: Excellent attention to detail and extremely organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Communication:
    • Ability to read and write in English.
    • Ability to effectively articulate and present information and respond to questions from Management in a professional manner.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Physical Demands:
    • Regularly required to have manual dexterity and written, verbal & auditory skills.
    • Regularly required to stand, walk and sit during the workday.
    • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (additional weight should only be accomplished with assistance).
    • Specific vision abilities required are close vision and distance vision.
  • Work Environment:
    • The noise level in the daily work environment is usually moderate and could possibly change during the business day.
    • Employee is expected to handle occasional high stress projects/situations as needed due to work to be accomplished, deadlines to meet, etc..
  • Travel Requirements:
    • Occasional domestic travel may be required to attend trade shows, industry conferences, marketing events, or to coordinate with external vendors and agency partners. Estimated travel is less than 5% of the time.
