Job Overview

 

The Videographer focuses on capturing and editing uplifting and inspiring videos of Oaks Church events and ministries and its congregants as well as leading the development of a highly capable videography team. This is a full-time, hourly position, scheduled for Sunday through Thursday.

 

Reports to Creative Director.

 

Responsibilities + Duties:

  • Always be innovative, self-starting, and value team-based ministry bringing a positive upbeat spirit to the team 
  • Responsible for High tier, high performance Events and shoots
  • Works with Creative Director to plan, produce, film, and edit videos throughout the year
    • Scheduling teams of video volunteers for Sunday, Youth services, Kids services, Wednesday Prayer Meetings and including but not limited to special events, ministry, and styled shoots when needed 
    • Recruitment of volunteers and giving them assignments in project management systems
    • Leading videography Sunday service, Youth services, Kids services, Wednesday Prayer Meetings and including but not limited to special events, Pastoral headshots, ministry and styled shoots 
    • Planning, prepping, recording, editing, and distribution of Video Announcements 
    • Capture and organize b-roll on Sundays 
    • Bring creative ideas and creative direction when needed 
    • Initiate the rentals of equipment for special projects and return shipment/rentals 
    • Cleaning and organizing parts, cards and up-keep, repairs, and utility of all video equipment 
    • Training Creative interns from Oaks College and beyond 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above is encouraged 
  • Experience in leading teams and developing people is required 
  • Must be highly knowledgeable to work with Canon and Sony cameras and their accessories 
  • High Proficiency in Premiere is required 
  • Experience in After Effects is required 
  • Skills in videography, lighting composition, digital framing. The ability to handle each event with grace and leadership. 
  • Ability to recruit and lead a team of volunteers 
  • Must be able to multitask 
  • Must be able to work with a team 
  • Ability to proactively respond to work situations and challenges 
  • Organized and self-motivated 
  • Excellent in organization and project management methodologies  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and Asana Project Management Software
