Thermal Engineer - Performance Group

Clean Air Engineering, Inc. is a globally recognized provider of independent testing and custom engineering services. We specialize in thermal and hydraulic performance analysis, sound and emissions testing, precision instrumentation rental, and turnkey equipment manufacturing.

We are seeking experienced Mechanical, Chemical, or Thermal Engineers to join our Performance Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects involving performance evaluations of turbine, boiler, and heat rejection systems. Project sites cover a wide range of industries, such as power generation, process plants, petrochemical facilities, and campus utilities—both across the U.S. and internationally.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, Thermal Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
  
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant, hands-on experience in power plant performance testing and analysis.
  
• Solid understanding of ASME performance test codes.
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  
• Willingness and ability to travel for project work (domestic and international), including occasional weekends.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with remote data acquisition systems and precision testing instrumentation.
  
• Familiarity with Cooling Technology Institute (CTI) test codes and ANSI sound test standards.
  
• Project management experience.
