Position Summary:

ADRN is seeking a talented and mission-driven Temporary Photographer to document the impact of the Central Texas floods, relief operations, survivor stories, and volunteer efforts. This temporary role supports storytelling, media outreach, and community engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture high-quality, respectful photos of survivors, volunteers, cleanup sites, and donation efforts.
  • Edit and deliver images quickly for use across digital, print, and partner media.
  • Collaborate with communications staff to identify key moments to cover.
  • Adhere to ADRN guidelines for ethical photography, especially when working with vulnerable populations.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong photography skills with experience in event or documentary-style work.
  • Proficiency in editing software (Lightroom, Photoshop).
  • Ability to work independently in fast-moving environments.
  • Cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and compassion in the field.

Work Environment:

On location in field settings, including damaged neighborhoods, shelters, and outdoor events. Must be adaptable to weather and emotional conditions.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities for volunteers (e.g., assistant photographers or content contributors).


Travel Required:

  • Local travel as needed.
  • Travel during deployment may be necessary.

Work Authorization:

Employees must be authorized to work in the United States under federal requirements.
