Surveyor

Surveyor – Heavy Civil Construction

We are working with a nationally recognized heavy civil contractor to add an experienced Surveyor to support large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and site development work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform field layout and as-builts for active construction projects
• Operate survey equipment including GPS, Total Stations, and levels
• Complete site setup activities (calibration, control checks, level runs)
• Execute layout calculations (station/offset, grading, distances)
• Maintain accurate field notes and documentation
• Coordinate directly with Project Managers and Superintendents
• Transfer and manage survey data between field and office
• Utilize Trimble equipment and software for layout and machine control

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of construction survey experience
• Strong knowledge of GPS and survey software (SCS900, Trimble Access, etc.)
• Experience working independently in field environments
• Basic CAD experience (Civil 3D, Carlson, MicroStation, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license
