Overview:

 The Part-Time Studio Photographer is responsible for producing high quality, consistent product imagery within the Draper studio to support seasonal launches and ongoing brand initiatives for Studio McGee and McGee & Co. This role is essential to ensuring product photography supports both e-commerce and marketing needs through technical excellence, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured production environment, is highly organized and technically proficient, and collaborates closely with the Brand Photographer to execute established visual direction. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Photograph seasonal product assortments in studio according to shot lists, brand standards, and production timelines
  • Execute lighting, composition, and camera settings that ensure accuracy, clarity, and visual consistency across large product volumes
  • Partner closely with the Brand Photographer to maintain alignment with brand aesthetic and visual standards
  • Collaborate with stylists, art directors, and producers to accurately represent product color, texture, proportion, and material quality
  • Prepare, organize, and deliver files for postproduction following established naming conventions and asset management protocols
  • Work efficiently within fast paced production schedules tied to seasonal product launches
  • Maintain studio equipment, sets, and overall workflow organization to support daily production readiness 

 

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of professional studio photography experience, preferably within high volume product or ecommerce production environments 
  • Advanced understanding of studio lighting techniques and tethered capture workflows 
  • Proficiency with professional camera systems and Capture One 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and digital asset management practices 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain visual consistency across large product assortments 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills 
  • Ability to balance speed, efficiency, and quality within deadline driven production environments 


Work Environment & Location:


This role is based at our Draper, Utah Visual Warehouse. Due to the hands-on nature of Studio Photography, this position requires regular in-person presence. Candidates must be located in Utah.
