Purpose

The Videography/Photography Innovation Fellow works closely with the OnRamps Communications and Marketing team to support video logistics, production and editing, and to build and manage our growing photo library. There are potential opportunities to shoot video and photos on location or during virtual events. Expand your creativity and build your technical skills while telling the OnRamps story and strengthening our brand among students, teachers, faculty and school administrators across Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the conception, filming and editing of videos (mostly short form) for internal and external audiences.

  • Photographs or records online or in-person events as needed, including OnRamps student campus visits, online professional learning events for teachers, partner school district visits, etc.

  • Collaborates across teams to source and create visual assets (videos, animations, photos, etc.) for various digital platforms that adhere to OnRamps brand guidelines and further the mission.

  • Supports with logistics and securing media releases as needed.

  • Supports with file management and maintaining/organizing digital media library.

  • Supports the communications team with day-to-day operations for current marketing initiatives and special projects.

  • Completes administrative/project management tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in radio-television-film, photography, studio art, arts and entertainment technology or similar related fields at The University of Texas at Austin.

  • Prior videography or photography experience and/or a solid understanding of principles

  • Working knowledge or proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier Pro, Rush, or equivalent applications

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work with moderate independence

  • Ability to collaborate within a group environment

  Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Prior work experience designing within a brand’s guidelines or portfolio of personal work

  • Experience with photography and videography

  • Volunteer leadership experience in extracurricular activities

  • Experience writing, editing, or producing content

  • Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual enrollment and college readiness initiatives

  • Recommendation from more than one professional or academic reference

Salary

$12.00 - $14.50 hourly
