Senior Sales Executive – Solar & Battery O&M Services

📍 Location: Scottsdale, AZ or Springfield, NJ (On-site with 50% Travel)

Industry-leading operations and maintenance (O&M) services for commercial and utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS). We’re growing rapidly and seeking a seasoned Senior Sales Executive to drive nationwide growth and manage key client relationships.

Role Overview

This role focuses on expanding our O&M service footprint in the commercial and utility-scale solar and BESS market. Ideal candidates bring deep industry knowledge, technical fluency, and a proven track record of closing complex deals.

What You’ll Do

  • Generate New Business: Source and close O&M contracts with developers, asset owners, EPCs, and utilities

  • Manage Key Accounts: Serve as primary contact for strategic clients, delivering customized solutions

  • Lead Proposals & Negotiations: Draft scopes, negotiate MSAs, and align terms with performance targets

  • Market Strategy: Analyze trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and guide outreach

  • Pipeline & Reporting: Maintain CRM data, forecast revenue, and report progress to leadership

  • Industry Engagement: Represent at trade shows, conferences, and industry events

  • Cross-Functional Work: Partner with operations, engineering, and finance teams to ensure client success

What You Bring

Required:

  • 5+ years in sales within utility-scale solar, BESS, or related energy services

  • Strong understanding of O&M contracts, KPIs, and technical sales cycles

  • Must have proposal development & negotiation ; will have led technical and commercial proposals. Must be able to negotiate contract terms, including MSAs, scopes of work, and performance standards. Understand availability metrics, safety protocols, and prevailing wage compliance. 
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, Excel, and sales reporting

  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%) and visit job sites (construction environments)

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with BESS O&M services

  • Knowledge of prevailing wage laws and industry rate trends

  • Background in MV/HV services, commissioning, or repowering

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
