As a Performance Engineer, you will play a key role in maximizing operational efficiency and asset performance across a portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including battery energy storage systems (BESS). You’ll blend strong technical acumen, data-driven decision-making, and client-facing project management skills to ensure high levels of performance and reliability.
This role requires a balance of analytical problem-solving and customer service, as you’ll serve as the main point of contact for clients while collaborating closely with internal field and control center teams. Ideal candidates are technically curious, highly organized, and excellent communicators—both verbally and in writing.
Project Oversight & Coordination
Lead day-to-day project operations, schedule meetings, assign resources, and monitor budgets and milestones. Ensure timelines and deliverables are met, escalating issues as needed to keep projects on track.

Act as the primary liaison for your assigned sites. Provide remote performance analytics and insights to support both the control center and field teams. Lead performance calls with clients and internal stakeholders regarding asset status and availability.
Portfolio Management
Oversee a portfolio of BESS and renewable projects, ensuring preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair coordination, and performance monitoring are executed to standard.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with project directors, clients, and cross-functional teams to continuously improve systems and processes. Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization.
Team Leadership (for Mid-Senior Level Roles)
Provide oversight and guidance to 2–3 team members. Participate in hiring, coaching, performance management, and strategic staffing decisions.
