Solar Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Solar System Installation Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

• Install solar PV systems on rooftops and ground mounts according to engineering plans, manufacturer specs, and safety codes.
• Assemble, mount, wire, and connect solar panels and inverters.
• Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring per NEC and local codes.
• Conduct system testing and commissioning.
• Follow safety protocols including proper use of fall protection, PPE, and OSHA-compliant procedures.
• Communicate with project managers, electricians, and customers as needed.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition.
• Document installation progress and take photos for system records.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of solar installation or relevant electrical/construction experience.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction safety practices.
• Understanding of basic electrical theory and solar PV components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• NABCEP certification is a plus (not required).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work on roofs for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift repeatedly throughout the day.
