DescriptionCatholic Charities of Corpus Christi is hiring a part-time Social Media, Photography and Videography Coordinator. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications and the Director of Mission Advancement, the Social Media, Photography & Videography Coordinator is responsible for creating, managing, and delivering high-quality digital content that supports the mission and visibility of both agencies. This role produces original text, photography, graphic design, and video content for social media and other digital platforms, including live and streamed video, while ensuring all communications are visually consistent, mission-driven, and appropriate for the populations served.
The Coordinator manages agency social media accounts, develops and maintains content calendars, monitors engagement and performance, and implements strategies to grow audience reach and engagement. Working collaboratively with internal departments, the Coordinator supports events, documents Executive Director appearances and agency activities, and provides graphic design support for digital and print materials. All engagement strategies are aligned with broader organizational goals and messaging as directed by agency leadership and the Executive Director.

In order to fulfill his mission, the Diocesan Bishop employs suitable, chosen collaborators, who are clerics, religious, and lay people. He shares with them the apostolic mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them.
Each position employed in the Diocese of Corpus Christi helps to extend the ministry of the Diocesan Bishop in particular ways as outlined in the job duties and responsibilities. Therefore, this position is closely connected to and assists the Diocesan Bishop in the performance of his ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the church.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging daily content across social media platforms, including original text, photography, video, and news
- Identify and actively pursue relevant content from agency departments and programs, including events, outreach efforts, homelessness services, and community resources
- Research social media audience preferences and monitor current trends to inform content strategy
- Photograph and video Executive Director appearances, agency events, and program activities
- Edit photos, videos, and audio content for use across digital platforms using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Create and manage social media video content, including live or streamed video when appropriate
- Manage and oversee the visual design, branding, and consistency of agency social media accounts
- Develop and maintain an optimal posting schedule using a working content calendar
- Monitor and measure social media performance and traffic on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
- Stay current with social media platform updates, best practices, and applicable regulations to ensure maximum effectiveness
- Develop strategies to grow audience engagement and attract new followers
- Provide graphic design support for digital and print materials, including flyers, social graphics, promotional pieces, and T-shirt designs for agency events and campaigns, utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Assist with agency events and provide on-site content creation and communications support as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging, storytelling, and mission alignment
- Ensure all content is respectful, mission-driven, and appropriate for the sensitive populations served by the agencies
- Organize and maintain a digital library of photos, videos, and content assets
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing & Communications and the Director of Mission Advancement

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of experience in social media, photography, videography and graphic design
- Valid Texas driver's license required

Additional Requirements:
- Must support and adhere to the moral teachings of the Catholic Church, i.e., must not teach, advocate, or in any way encourage beliefs or behaviors that are contrary to Catholic social doctrine
- Position requires ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- Must submit to required pre-employment screening including criminal history background check, motor vehicle check record check (MVR), and drug screening
- Complete certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources
- Requires adherence to all diocesan policies and procedures
