We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITOM Discovery and Service Mapping Specialist with ITOM Discovery and Service Mapping Specialist to join our team. This dual-role position will focus on implementing and managing ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping functionalities to ensure comprehensive visibility and management of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT operations management, with a focus on accurately identifying and mapping IT assets and services. This position will be full-time and hybrid, requiring a visit once a month to the Miramar office in Florida.
Due to our end client, candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders and be able to work directy on CAI's W2.
What You'll Do
Implement and manage ServiceNow Discovery to automate the identification and classification of IT assets within the organization
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by maintaining up-to-date records of discovered assets and their attributes
Develop, configure, and optimize Service Mapping processes to visualize service dependencies and relationships between IT components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that service maps accurately reflect the organizationโs service architecture
Create and maintain documentation related to Discovery and Service Mapping processes, configurations, and best practices
Monitor and troubleshoot Discovery and Service Mapping processes to ensure optimal performance and reliability, addressing any issues that arise
Conduct regular audits of the CMDB and service maps to validate data accuracy and completeness, implementing corrective actions as needed
Stay current with ServiceNow updates and enhancements related to Discovery and Service Mapping, recommending improvements to enhance functionality and performance
Provide training and support to stakeholders on using Discovery and Service Mapping tools and interpreting service maps for IT operations
What You'll Need
Required:
3+ years of experience in IT operations management, with a focus on ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping
Bachelorโs degree in computer science or related field
Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices related to asset and service management
Proficiency in ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping tools, including configuration and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with CMDB (configuration management) and ServiceNow CSDM (common service data model) concepts, ServiceNow Fundamentals, and ServiceNow Discovery
Knowledge of Windows Servers
Knowledge of Linux Servers
Knowledge of Cloud Systems (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Preferred:
ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, etc.)
Experience enforcing CMDB management and data governance principles
Experience with ServiceNow Graphs highly desired
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
