Propulsion Design Engineer - Thermal

We’re looking for a Propulsion Design Engineer who can take full ownership of thermal system design — from concept through flight. You'll be responsible for designing, modeling, prototyping, and validating thermal and fluid systems critical to the performance of our engines.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Design and model thermal systems in CAD (NX), generate drawings and apply GD&T

• Build 1D fluid network models and optimize components using CFD and hand calcs

• Size and select components: pumps, heat exchangers, valves, etc.

• Analyze heat loads, interface temps, and anchor models with test data

• Lead design reviews, prototype builds, testing, and data analysis

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years experience in propulsion or complex thermal/fluid systems

• Strong in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and system integration

• Skilled in NX CAD, CFD tools, and 1D modeling (e.g. Thermal Desktop, Simcenter)

• Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced, collaborative environment

• Proactive mindset with high attention to detail
