Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Land Surveyor to join our team in Lisle, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys and preparing reports for various construction and development projects. The role requires a blend of fieldwork and office work, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis to support project planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct land surveys using a variety of surveying instruments and tools.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure survey results meet project requirements.
- Utilize advanced GPS and GIS technologies for data collection and mapping.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Required Skills:

- Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and GIS systems.
- Strong understanding of boundary laws, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and maps.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software is a plus.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying or a related field.
