Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Product Photographer to capture high-quality images of wholesale merchandise for use in our website, catalogs, flyers, online listings, and promotional materials. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working with automated studio systems and who excels at producing consistent, professional imagery. Duties
- Photograph wholesale items using the Orbitvu Alpha Studio Compact Camera and Orbitvu Station software.
- Edit and manipulate photos with advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop to enhance image quality and achieve desired aesthetics.
- Set up product sessions, align items, manage lighting presets, and ensure consistent visual standards.
- Capture still photos and 360-degree videos as needed.
- Manage image files, naming conventions, and uploads to marketing and catalog teams.
- Collaborate with internal departments to meet production timelines.
- Conduct post-production work including photo retouching, background removal, and image optimization for various digital platforms.
- Film short videos or create product demos using videography tools using AI or another photography tool.
- Assist with social media management by providing engaging visual content that boosts audience interaction and brand visibility.
- Maintain a clean, organized photo studio environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial or product photography.
- Hands-on experience with the Orbitvu Alpha Studio Compact Camera or similar automated photo systems.
- Strong understanding of studio lighting, exposure, and clean-background photography.
- Ability to handle and position merchandise of varied sizes.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
- Knowledge of capture techniques such as studio lighting setup, camera operation, and composition principles.
- Experience with photo editing, manipulation, and post-production workflows to produce polished images.
- Ability to film high-quality videos or product demonstrations that align with marketing objectives.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices for visual content creation is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing catalog or e-commerce product images.
- Basic video capture experience.
- Familiarity with photo editing and digital asset workflows.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, lift, and reposition merchandise of varying sizes throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a studio environment with lighting equipment and camera hardware.
