You will report directly to the Manager Photography.

This is a SHIPBOARD role.

Applicants must:
  • Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel
  • Be committed to the position you are applying for at least 2-3 contracts before a transfer or promotion
  • Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency duties and/or associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan
  • Be willing and able to uphold the general safety management responsibilities specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control
  • Be willing to follow and embrace United States Public Health requirements and guidelines as well as Environmentality requirements and Company practices
  • Be comfortable living in a confined space with strict rules and regulations
  • Adhere to a structured lifestyle, personally and professionally

Your Responsibilities:
  • Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)
  • Complete a pre-employment medical
  • Obtain a criminal background check
  • Bring approved work shoes

**Disney Cruise Line is a drug-free workplace. All new hires are required to undergo drug/alcohol testing within the first week onboard and throughout their contracts. Failure to pass the drug/alcohol testing will result in immediate termination.


  • Minimum three years photography experience
  • Minimum one year portrait studio photography experience, within the last two years


  • Ship experience preferred


  • Specialized shipboard-based photography position that ensures operational excellence and outstanding Guest experience, related to the portrait studio.
  • Expert in both photographic and sales skills and the ability to interact with guests, team members, and management in a positive and helpful manner to enhance the performance of the onboard operation.
  • Active participant in planning and implementing strategies to develop the team, drive revenue, and ensure company standards are followed.
  • Continually drive the business by looking for ways to improve revenues and product offerings, by creating standard reports on bookings, sales and conversion KPIs
  • Schedule and perform private photo shoot.
  • Work with Guests to determine desired look and feel of the photo shoot.
  • Edit photos for highest quality product. 
  • Perform review and sales process, order selected products
  • Drive booking generating activities by identifying pre-cruise opportunities, train Photographers to create Portrait Studio leads
  • Evaluate marketing and promotional opportunities to drive sales
  • Partner with Manager Photography to focus on operational process and service level improvements while introducing new and/or existing product offerings
