Scandinavian Designs - Dania Furniture is looking for a Part-Time Photographer

POSITION: Part-time
WAGE: Up to 25 hours per week and will require working from the Boise HQ~
The Part-time Photographer is responsible for planning, shooting, creating, executing and managing photographic assets for our brands, catalogues, e-commerce store and local showrooms. The Photographer is able to work independently as well as under the direction of Creative, Marketing, Buying, Visual Merchandising and the Executive team to stage and produce images and other materials that are consistent with our brand. The Photographer is a proactive who will lead photoshoots and produce high quality images of our collection in a timely manner. This is a part-time, non-remote position and based out of our Boise HQ and frequently working from our Photographer Studio in the in our Boise, Outlet on Broadway.
What You Will Do
- Develop and shoot creative assets for digital and print projects through photographing product, photo editing and color correcting.
- Be hands-on in the photography studio (The Outlet) and other off-site photo shooting locations producing a wide range aesthetics for products.
- Deliver brilliant, creative ideas and inspiring campaigns based on creative briefs and company-wide initiatives.
- Maintain the proper equipment, supplies and software to run an in-house photo studio.
- Collaborate with Marketing / Creative team members and work cross functionally with eCommerce, Buying & Merchandising, Retail Operations and Store teams on a project basis.
- Exemplify a team approach, be open and honest in communication and help others when they need assistance.
- Perform other duties or special projects when assigned.
Who You Are
- Bring a roll-up-your-sleeve, can-do attitude to commercial photographer for online and retail showrooms in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce setting.
- 3 – 5 years of commercial photography experience.
- Passionate about the work you deliver and able to meet creative deadlines.
- Excel in and understanding of mixed media and application to marketing, production, website design, corporate branding, and multimedia design.
- Possess creative thinking skills and a discerning eye for visual composition.
- Submission of a strong Photography portfolio is highly desirable upon application and required during the interview process.
- Skilled user of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Package and Google docs.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of design principles, color theory and composition.
- Experience with project management concepts and platforms, such as Trello, Airtable, etc.
- Strong time management skills, the ability to work well within a team environment and meet deadlines.
- Able to give and receive constructive feedback.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work and travel to other locations.
- Our positions require successfully completing the pre-employment background check and signing a nondisclosure agreement.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Photography or related field or equivalent professional experience.
