Job Description: Licensed Land Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys and prepare accurate survey reports.
• Utilize advanced surveying instruments and techniques to gather survey data.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to provide precise measurements for construction projects.
• Review and analyze survey data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare mapping documents and coordinate with local authorities for land use permits.
• Assist in the preparation of legal documents related to property boundaries and land ownership.
• Mentor junior surveyors and provide training on surveying techniques and technologies.
• Maintain and manage surveying equipment and software.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout all surveying activities.

Essential Qualifications

• Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of Kansas.
• Strong understanding of surveying principles, methodologies, and related technologies.
• Proficient in the use of survey equipment including GPS, total stations, and theodolites.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients and team members.

Desired Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of professional land surveying experience.
• Experience with CAD software and GIS technology.
• Background in both land development and public works infrastructure projects preferred.
• Proven track record of managing complex surveying projects from conception to completion.
