Summary: The Washington Wild Things, a professional baseball team in the Frontier League, are seeking a lead team photographer for the 2026 season. The successful applicant will serve as a paid per game photographer and be paid for other aspects of the role as well, including assisting the supervisor in managing the department's interns, creating shot sheets and checklists and managing the organization of photos in the digital archive folders for the team. The candidate will also have graphic design expectation. This position will not be offered for internship credit unless the applicant exceeds expectations for the position in the interview process. We're looking for a driven, passionate, professional that also wants to help cultivate a group of interns while growing their portfolio with professional baseball organization experience.
Reports to: Vice President of Baseball Operations, Broadcaster, Creative Services Staff

Responsibilities:
Operate DSLR cameras
Capture images of:
Game Action (Warmups, Intros, In-Game, Celebrations, etc.)
Develop ideas for graphic elements or promotions to be used during the season
Organize and archive daily game photos
Perform basic graphic design duties
Create and update gameday social media graphics
Create social media and video board advertisements
Update/create new player headshot images for video board use
Works home games, events, and daytime office hours if necessary
Occasionally required to lift heavy loads and haul production gear
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Photography, Multimedia, or a related field preferred but not required
Technical experience in photography and editing and/or experience in Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite
Experience in Microsoft Office
Receiving school credit for internship
Passion for sports and general knowledge of baseball
Energy to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment
Able to assume other responsibilities as required
Must be available to work from beginning (early-mid May) to end of season (early-mid September)
Ability to handle numerous projects & meet deadlines
Some experience in lighting and shoot setup is a plus
