Summary of Duties:
Work with V.P., Surveying, Director of Surveying and Senior Survey Technician to prepare survey mapping, including boundary and topographic surveys, easements, subdivision plans, project proposals, etc.
Boundary computations
Assist with field crew supervision, preparation, and scheduling
Import and process field book data from the field crews
Create topographic maps utilizing TIN surfaces based on survey data
Conduct land record research on subject and surrounding properties
Periodically serve as a crew chief
Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of four years in a supervisory role.
Licensed Land Surveyor (MA, CT or RI preferred)
Proficiency in Civil 3D software utilized in a land surveying capacity (3+ years minimum)
Strong interpersonal skills and client coordination
Complete understanding of field survey methods and procedures
Willingness/ability to periodically serve as crew chief, as needed, including working in all weather conditions, walking long distances on potentially difficult terrain, and carrying survey equipment
Experienced in preparing digital surface models for GPS equipment or site design experience a plus, but not required
Ability to multi-task, detail-oriented, and strong organizational skills
Consistency with meeting deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Associate's degree in Land Surveying or related field required. Bachelor's degree a plus.
