SN is excited to assist our client in their search for a Land Surveyor to join their firm. Individual will support the engineering team while performing additional surveying work to stay productive. Seeking a Land Surveyor with established knowledge in surveying principles, a strong grasp of operational practices to meet deadlines and project budgets, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

POSITION DETAILS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform complex surveying and geomatic calculations and analysis of survey data in support of the preparation of survey maps, plats, site plans, and right-of-way mapping.
- Analyze deeds, title reports, and other supporting materials for the production of survey maps, reports and legal descriptions.
- Complete surveying projects to establish and map boundaries for properties, topographical surveys, utility surveys, and construction projects.
- Perform marketing efforts for surveying related services on behalf of the firm.
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of project proposals, estimates, and scheduling.
- Maintain relationships with various clients and provide timely communication on projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of Minnesota:
- Or the ability to obtain licensure within three months of hire
- LSIT Certification Required
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Land Surveying, GIS or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant project experience; including:
- preferred minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed professional land surveyor
- preferred minimum of one year of project management experience
- Experience in the preparation of proposals, work orders, contracts and agreements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel and Bluebeam
- Experience in working independently as well as leading a survey team and/or technicians
- Capacity to multi-task and respond to rapidly changing project priorities
- Perform research, design and calculations for surveying and mapping projects using:
- Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
- Familiarity with reading surveying maps and descriptions, engineering plans, and conducting relevant computations
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
- Experience and proficiency with field equipment such as:
- Trimble GPS, Robotic Total Stations and Data collectors
