Job Description

The Survey Technician / Project Manager will play a critical role in the preparation of survey plats and maps, including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, utility route surveys, and more. This role also includes project management responsibilities, construction staking calculations, courthouse research, and occasional field work.

This is a Long term need and is required to be fully on site. 

Travel: 20%

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in land surveying or a related role
• Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
• Ability to manage individual projects and communicate with clients
• Strong skills in courthouse research and construction staking calculations
• Strong ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Pluses: 

• Licensed as a Land Surveyor in Virginia (or the ability to obtain)
• Experience with OpenRoads, GeoPak
• Familiarity with current VDOT survey requirements
