WHAT YOU’LL DO (WHEN THE TIME COMES):
- Lead and mentor Superintendents, General Foremen, and Foremen to drive safe, efficient, and high-quality mechanical installation across projects
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for mechanical scopes, including tracker systems, racking installation, pile driving, module installation, and related equipment
- Establish and refine standardized construction methods, work plans, and best practices for solar project execution
- Partner with project leadership on pre-construction planning (labor, equipment, and material plans) aligned with estimates
- Coach and develop field leadership to ensure consistent execution, productivity, and adherence to design/specifications
- Support engineering review, procurement, construction, startup, and project closeout phases
- Collaborate with Estimating and Operations to improve job costing alignment and execution strategies
- Promote and validate a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and site requirements
- Participate in site visits, constructability reviews, and support business development/estimating efforts when needed
- Build strong relationships with project teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in construction methods
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Extensive experience in utility-scale solar mechanical scopes, including racking, trackers, pile installation, and module setting
- Proven leadership managing large field teams and multiple project sites
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and productivity optimization
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience with job costing, labor/equipment planning, and field execution strategies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence field teams and project leadership
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on project sites regularly
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must comply with client safety requirements (e.g. long sleeves, steel-toe boots).
- Must pass a physical exam if required.
- Able to:
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spaces (e.g., towers, vessels, excavations).
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (Use assistance for heavier loads).
- Stand or walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel).
- Must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE when required.
