Integration & Test Engineer – Counter-UAS (C-UAS)
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Integration & Test Engineer to support the development, validation, and deployment of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS). This role is critical in ensuring that complex multi-domain systems—combining sensors, command and control (C2), and defeat mechanisms—operate reliably in real-world environments. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating hardware and software systems, executing test campaigns, and troubleshooting complex system-level issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and execute system integration and test activities for C-UAS platforms
- Integrate sensors (radar, RF, EO/IR), communication systems, and countermeasure technologies into cohesive operational systems
- Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and verification/validation (V&V) documentation
- Conduct lab, field, and live-flight testing to validate system performance against requirements
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-level integration issues
- Analyze test data and generate detailed reports, including performance metrics and recommendations
- Support system calibration, alignment, and configuration management activities
- Collaborate with systems engineering, software, RF, and mechanical teams to resolve integration challenges
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and test environments where applicable
- Support customer demonstrations, operational exercises, and field deployments
- Ensure compliance with applicable military and industry standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, or related field)
- 4+ years of experience in system integration, test engineering, or validation roles
- Experience in integrating hardware/software systems in defense, aerospace, robotics, or similar domains
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-disciplinary systems (HW, SW, networking, RF)
- Experience developing and executing formal test procedures and documenting results
- Familiarity with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Ethernet-based systems)
- Ability to work in lab and field environments, including outdoor test ranges
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C-UAS, UAV systems, or air defense technologies
- Familiarity with RF systems, electronic warfare, or sensor fusion concepts
- Experience with command and control (C2) systems or distributed architectures
- Knowledge of military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, DO-160)
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, etc.)
- Experience participating in live flight tests or operational exercises
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
Key Skills
- System-level thinking and integration expertise
- Test planning, execution, and reporting
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Data analysis and performance evaluation
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Adaptability in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
