POSITION SUMMARY:   This position is responsible for field testing of industrial fan systems and auxiliary equipment including flying a drone. The position requires data collection and analysis of fan systems, boiler systems, kiln systems, steel mill draft systems in the field for potential equipment improvements. The Position includes Estimation, Inspection, and Planning responsibilities.  Estimator will be expected to perform the following duties related to developing estimates and inspections up to but not limited to: visiting site locations to determine specific plans and/or utilizing previous projects as research; assisting the Sales to firm up pricing/proposals on inspections; processing change orders; and providing updates within the Spare Parts Division.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Conduct onsite field testing – Proven competencies with flow test equipment, particulate test equipment and instrumental sampling methodologies through standardized written and practical exams
Education – Must have High School Diploma
Experience– 2 year of minimum experience leading test projects in the field
Project Management experience to include, client interface, safety leadership, data collection, quality initiatives and timely deliverables to the clients
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Specific knowledge of flow and pressure test equipment operations, troubleshooting and calibration required
Good verbal communication skills (Internally and with Clients) with professional appearance and behavior
Maintain positive attitude with ability to work well in groups and desire to achieve goals and grow into higher positions of leadership
Ability to work safely in a work and office environment, operate an Aerial Lift from the platform or deck and willingness to work at elevated heights on stack platforms up to 300 feet
Credentials - - Valid driver’s license and passport

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Flexibility to work 40-50 hours per week as well as some nights and weekends
Consistent standing or walking, bending, crouching or stooping, climbing ladders and/or stairs, frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 75 pounds
Access all areas within a site which could include heights, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels. 
Will be working at times in covered environment or in an outside environment.
The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions:  Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Particles.


RESPOSIBILITIES
A Fan System Test Analyst can manage most field test programs and is expected to successfully manage projects with multiple sampling systems and/or multiple testing locations
 A Fan System Test Analyst also conducts training for Project Scientists using standard AST training materials and guidance provided by Operations Excellence
Supports Design Engineers and Sales Personnel as needed.
Consistently demonstrates the ability to keep productive
Preparation of the test program for the scope of work prior to mobilization
Serves as the company’s in-field representative to interface with clients and PB sales rep personnel
Ensure quality data collection and submittal by required deadlines by working with the Fan System Test Manager 
Problem Solving – uses logic and methods to help solve problems.
Communication Skills – clear written and verbal instructions and notes are essential.
Working Knowledge – must understand the mechanics of the customer’s plant and our product line.
Must be skilled in MS Office Suite
Heavy experience in using MS Excel for analysis
Must be able to complete multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet the customer needs.
Must be able to work well within a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workers.  
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
Safety Oriented with the ability to work well within a team environment.
Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job
Must be able to obtain a Commercial Drone License
