    Title:     District Videographer/Editor 

    Starting pay rate (based on experience)
    $34.32 - $37.25

     

    Salary Schedule Range: 48

     

    Purpose of Position: To capture images and sounds with a camera and provide editing and post-production services for a variety of meetings, activities, and special events. 

     

    Reporting: Reports to an assigned supervisor

     

    Employment Status: 8 hours per day, 12 months per year (FLSA non-exempt)

     

    Location: Superintendent's Office

     

    Essential Functions:

     

    Responsible for shooting, recording, lighting, and editing of standing meetings and other events as directed. 

     

    Collaborate with staff, speakers or community representatives on the design, development and creation of custom multimedia projects for internal consumption or external distribution. 

     

    Responsible for routine maintenance of equipment and reporting equipment defects or malfunctions.

     

    Maintain production and administrative records. 

     

    Maintain punctual and consistent attendance.

     

    Other Functions:

     

    Perform related duties as assigned.

     

    Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

     

    Inside work with no exposure to weather conditions and some outside work with exposure to weather conditions during outdoor shoots. 

     

    Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person or on the telephone; seeing to read a variety of documents and to film events; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate cameras and office equipment; sitting or standing for extended periods of time, bending or stooping, kneeling, crouching and walking for extended periods of time; reaching overhead, above the shoulders or horizontally to store or retrieve materials.  

     

    Driving a vehicle between District locations. 

     

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

     

    Working knowledge of principles and techniques of video recording and photography, lighting, video editing and post-production processes; knowledge of contemporary video/audio technology and equipment. 

     

    Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with District and school staff, community members and others on projects. 

     

    Ability to use appropriate English grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.

     

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

     

    Ability to adapt to changing needs and circumstances.   

     

    Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions. 

     

    Ability to meet schedules and timelines.

     

    Education, Training and Experience:

     

    Graduation from high school and two (2) years of related experience in videography, or demonstrated ability to meet all requirements described in this job description. 

     

    Additional Requirements:

     

    Valid CA Driver’s License
