About Your Role
The Destination Services Manager is a full-time, on-site position that plays a key role in supporting the mission of Visit Fort Collins by enhancing the experience of leisure travelers, meeting and event attendees, and sports groups. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional visitor services and coordinating logistics for events, meetings, and group travel, while also providing administrative support to the Vice Presidents of Sales and Marketing.
Compensation: $56,000 - $64,000
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
Destination Services- Serve as the primary point of contact for group services, including meetings, conventions, sports events, and leisure groups.
- Coordinate and deliver visitor welcome services, group itineraries, local offers, and promotional materials.
- Organize and execute FAM (familiarization) tours, site visits, VIP receptions, and special event logistics.
- Support client needs with high-touch service, ensuring satisfaction for both planners and attendees.
- Collaborate with local hospitality partners and vendors to ensure seamless group experiences.
- Provide on-site event assistance, including registration, setup/breakdown, signage, and hospitality.
- Collect post-event data and assist with impact analysis and economic reporting.
Administrative Support- Enter sales leads, activities, and follow-up tasks into CRM (Simpleview preferred).
- Maintain accurate records for meetings, sports, and group business.
- Prepare sales and marketing reports, presentations, and proposals as needed.
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns, newsletters, trade show prep, and website content updates.
- Help manage digital asset libraries and assist with content distribution.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Needed to be Successful- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s in hospitality, marketing, business, tourism, or a related field is preferred.
- 3+ years of previous experience in tourism, hospitality, event planning, or destination marketing is preferred.
Specialized Skills- Intermediate communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear and professional messaging with teammates, visitors, stakeholders, and others.
- Intermediate organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM systems, such as Simpleview.
