DC Solar Installer

Location: OC/LA
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $28-30/hr
Travel: May be required depending on project sites

About the Role

The DC Solar Installer is responsible for assembling, installing, and wiring the direct current components of commercial rooftop solar PV systems. This role supports field construction teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and code-compliant installations that meet project timelines.

What You'll Do

- Install, route, and secure DC wiring for solar PV systems (modules, combiner boxes, fuses, disconnects, etc.)

- Mount and connect PV modules, racking, grounding systems, and DC equipment

-  Pull and terminate conductor cables per project electrical plans

-  Assist with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting DC circuits

-  Follow all safety protocols, including LOTO, fall protection, and electrical safety procedures

-  Read and interpret plans, one-line diagrams, and installation standards

-  Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

-  Collaborate with site supervisors, electricians, and construction crews to ensure smooth workflow.

What We're Looking For

-  3+ years of solar installation experience on commercial projects

-  Strong understanding of DC electrical systems and PV components

-  Ability to read construction drawings and electrical schematics

-  Comfortable working outdoors and at heights

-  Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physical labor

-  OSHA 10 preferred; OSHA 30 or NABCEP a plus

-  Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation: $28-$30/hr
