Dakota Student Photographer

Salary/Position Classification

• $13.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 2-3 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Record, edit and publish episodes of the Dakota Student Podcast.
• Pitch episode topics and discuss with co-hosts.
• Assist with show promotion through various channels, including making promos and ads.

Required Competencies

• • Experience shooting and editing photos
  • Understanding of photography basics
  • Familiarity with local topics & UND sports
  • Ability to work on deadline

Minimum Requirements

• • Able to take photos, edit and attend meetings on weekends
  • Excellent understanding of photo editing software and apps
  • Understanding the priority of news
  • Ability to identify potential article ideas
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
