Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and communicate on site with project engineers, superintendents and foremen
• Field responsibilities will include data capture for control and as-built record information and construction layout to support various construction activities, including the support of heavy highway, bridge, structural and environmental projects, including large earthwork and marine projects
• Additional field responsibilities may include structural monitoring
• Perform a variety of tasks that may periodically include having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as backup spotting and hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocol

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in surveying technology or civil engineering or 2 years of construction layout experience
• Ability to operate robotic Trimble total stations, Trimble GNSS equipment, base, and rover setups
• Excellent communication and attention to detail are required
• This position involves extensive travel (2–3-hour radius +/- around Wilton NY) (May include out of town and hotel)
• Clean driver’s license
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Compensation:

Salary Range:  Prevailing Wage

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
