Description

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Citadel Roofing and Solar.


Location: NorCal/ Remote

Reports to: Retro Commercial Solar Estimator

Travel: Minimal


Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a successful Commercial Solar Estimator to assist with design and proposals for our multifamily housing / commercial solar pipeline throughout California. Project sizes will range in size from 20kW – 3MW. Working closely with various internal and external stakeholders, the Solar Estimator will be responsible for completing high quality solar and storage estimates, generating budgets/proposals, and staying highly organized and efficient with a large pipeline.


Responsibilities:

• Create and size systems in Helioscope based on incremental usage.

• Responsible for completing detailed and itemized solar material quantity estimates out of Helioscope and/or Customer provided plans.

• Determine correct solar system type, interconnection type, and system sizing.

• Prepare quotations and proposals based on proposed system size.

• Perform clerical duties associated with keeping up filing and job folders.

• Read construction blueprints, drawings, plans and specifications and prepare estimates.

• Gather and calculate take-off data from a digital take-off program.

• Build and retain relationships with Citadel Sales Team.

• Generate preliminary and final project budgets based on bid proposal and project details.

• Ensure thoroughness of estimates and help with ease of construction by field operations.

• Keep and track bid schedules.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma. College degree or some college experience preferable.


• 2-3 years of solar or electrical experience.

• Experience with Helioscope and Energy Toolbase.

• Experience in estimating construction or architectural products.

• Experience in reading construction drawings and specifications. Demonstrated aptitude will be considered in lieu of experience.

• Experience with PV and battery projects.

• Experience with Commercial Batteries, VNEM, Ground Mounts, and Solar Carports.

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
