Position: Senior Aviation Military Analyst (UAS or Manned/Unmanned Teaming)
Summary: Senior Aviation Military Analyst: (UAS or Manned-Unmanned Teaming Expertise) The purpose of this position is to provide professional support services for Army Capability Managers (ACMs) and the Experimentation and Analysis Directorate (CEAD) located at United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Novosel, Alabama
Job Description:
- Conduct an analysis of Aviation organizations in support of formation-based assessments
- Conduct an analysis of Aviation organizations in support of simulation activities
- Analyze Aviation organizations in support of annual capabilities needs assessments.
- Tailor methodology and conduct analysis to best examine Aviation tasks, conditions, standards, and gaps across select Aviation formations
- Write/support the revision or re-writing of a substantial number of JCIDS, supporting, and new emerging requirements documents.
- Review manned/unmanned platform programs currently in effect requirements documents
- Analyze validity of the current capability in respect to Large Scale Combat Operations
- Analyze the ability of the systems to operate in a Large-Scale Combat operational environment.
Qualifications:
- At least fifteen (15) years Army Aviation operations experience with planning, training, and executing Army Aviation operations.
- Instructor pilot/Operator qualification in manned/unmanned aircraft with a Master Aviator rating or Master Aircrew rating for UAS
- Operational experience in tactical Army aviation formations executing UAS operations is required
- Experience working in combat developments is required.
- Experience in planning, executing and facilitating DOTMLPF-P assessments and Joint Working Groups
- Must be able to review and edit products to ensure they are written at the graduate level
- Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required within 90 days
- Experience in modeling and simulation (M&S) efforts for vertical lift aircraft and fixed wing aircraft
- Experience with JCIDS technical writing is required.
- Capable of independent work based on broad senior level guidance to produce completed white papers, concept papers, requirements documents, operational views, and other written products as required
- Experience with organizational management of a small organization of 35 to large organization of 400 plus personnel preferred
- Recent experience in conducting experiments, concept development and scenarios is desired.
- Experience participating in source selection committees for Joint or Army Aviation systems and capability development experience taking the system through testing & fielding is highly desired.
- Military or civilian equivalent training on how the Army Runs.
- Experience in training Army Aviation formations through Division, Corps and Theater staff, in a high OPTEMPO, combat environment is desired
- An operational deployment to a theater of operations is desired.
- Participation in Army level war games such as Unified Quest or Challenge, or similar war gaming exercises is preferred
