Job Title: Automotive Photographer

Location: Chesterton, IN
Pay: $19/hour
Job Type: Full-Time

As an Automotive Photographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos of vehicles for use in marketing materials, online listings, and advertising campaigns. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical photography skills, and a customer-focused attitude. You will be the visual storyteller for our inventory and a key representative of our brand

Key Responsibilities

Auto Photography (60%)

• Photo Shoot Preparation:
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to schedule shoots for new inventory.
  • Inspect and stage vehicles for optimal presentation.
• Photography:
  • Use professional-grade cameras and lighting to capture high-resolution images from multiple angles.
  • Record short “walk-around” videos to showcase vehicle features.
• Image Editing:
  • Edit and retouch photos using software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Ensure images meet branding standards and quality expectations.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to fulfill photo requests and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively to prioritize tasks and coordinate shoots.

Quality Control & Service Excellence (40%)

• Review images for accuracy and consistency.
• Address any quality issues promptly.
• Maintain organized photo inventory with proper labeling.
• Upload images to the company’s database or CMS for marketing use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in photography (automotive preferred); portfolio required
• Proficiency in photography principles and editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of automotive terminology is a plus
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods
• Frequent kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 45 lbs
• Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working in awkward positions and various weather conditions
