Job Description Summary:

As an Aerial Foreman II – Telecom, you’ll supervise aerial crews on medium to complex telecom projects, ensuring safe and efficient installation of fiber optic and coaxial infrastructure. This mid-level foreman role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to guide less experienced foremen and linemen while keeping projects on track.

What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and assist with daily operations of aerial installation crews.

  • Oversee fiber and coax installations, splicing, lashing, and pole framing.

  • Inspect projects to ensure accuracy, safety, and quality.

  • Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA, NESC, and company requirements.

  • Troubleshoot aerial construction or repair issues as they arise.

  • Communicate progress and needs with project managers and engineering staff.

  • Maintain digital and written records of work performed and materials used.

  • Train and mentor Aerial Foreman I and linemen in advanced construction practices.

  • Participate in on-call rotation schedules to support after-hours service and emergency response.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 4+ years of aerial telecom or broadband construction experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.

  • Valid driver’s license with clean record (CDL preferred).

  • Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and maintain a valid medical card.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to lead a crew.

  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, travel to project sites, and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs and working at heights up to 40 feet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, or aerial line construction certifications.

  • Experience with GIS-based data collection and digital job tracking.

  • Prior experience leading multiple crews or large-scale telecom projects.

  • Familiarity with rural broadband and challenging terrain projects.
