Aerial Adventure Course Guides help create memorable experiences for guests through excellent guest service, daily equipment inspections, operation and safety briefings, and a variety of other related tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Works to ensure the proper operation of the Adventure Course and all its functions.
- Notifies supervisor of supplies needed for the efficient function of the Adventure Course.
- Notifies supervisor of non-mechanical parts needed for the Adventure Course and all its components.
- Notifies the supervisor of any conditions or occurrences that may adversely affect the safety of the operation.
- Advise and assist guests using the Adventure Course; provide excellent guest service.
- Assists supervisor and teammates with daily, weekly, and monthly, safety inspections on and assists in the safe operating conditions of the Adventure Course and its components.
- Maintains the condition of the Adventure Course’s related equipment and supplies.
- Assists in mountain rescue and evacuation efforts.
- Is detail-oriented, utilizing checklists and other systems to ensure no task goes undone.
- Maintain a professional attitude toward all staff, supervisors, and other departments.

- Assist in Adventure Course rescue and evacuation efforts.
- Assist in mountain emergencies.
- Performs other duties, as required.

- Ability to make sound decisions under stressful situations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain a professional attitude toward guests and staff.
- Adventure Course or climbing experience preferred.
- ACCT certification preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate meeting ropes course training certification requirements, including, but not limited to, the ability to put on and remove harnesses, and set up climbing gear on the course via the use of ladders and other equipment. Ability to carry gear (e.g. carabiners, pulleys, belay devices, ropes, rescue bags, etc.) that may range from 5-25 pounds. Ability to use supportive and guiding language to help guests with anxiety through course elements. Ability to perform rescues on the course as needed.
- Ability to perform essential duties efficiently and accurately, with or without supervision and without injury to incumbent or others.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must pass a background check.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND SCHEDULE:
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is most often exposed to work in high places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually low.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is regularly required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
SCHEDULE:
The schedule will be full-time or part-time seasonal, from late May/early June thru early October.
PERSONAL APPEARANCE:
When in the public eye, your personal appearance is an important part of the product we offer our guests. You should come to work neatly groomed and in uniform.
