Assigned projects will include a combination of micro grid installations (solar, battery, generators), energy efficiency measures (MEP systems, lighting, building automation), and various carbon reduction strategies to help commercial and industrial customers around the United States become more sustainable, save money, and improve processes in their facilities.<\/i>

In this role, you will manage one to several projects simultaneously, from early development through post construction, including design, contract negotiations, and project implementation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in supervising/managing various construction scopes and partnering with building owners, subcontractors, and other project team members.<\/i>

Requirements<\/h3>
  • BSME, BSEE, or Construction Management equivalent four -year technical degree.<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • 7+ years of progressive engineering experience in complex energy projects such as micro grids, power generation / combined heat, and power<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Solar energy construction experience<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • State Professional Engineering license preferred / OSHA 10 preferred<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Clear technical communication skills, verbally and in writing<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Financial analysis skills to predict customer project economics and manage project budgets<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Negotiation skills that protect Facility Innovations Group’s interests on a given project while building customer and vendor/subcontractor rapport<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ability to prepare and write accurate customer reports and responses, with attention to customer goals and needs
    <\/i><\/span><\/li>
  • Ability to create and execute project development and delivery schedule<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Excellent adherence to schedule and collaborative problem -solving skills to maintain budget, schedule, and customer satisfaction<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • High standards of accuracy, appearance, and thoroughness of project documentation<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ability to review engineering work across all typical energy project scope types<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Understanding of contract scopes of work and alignment with subcontractor scopes of work<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Ability to review and improve energy analysis performed by others for all project sizes<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Understands Project Engineer job responsibilities in project development<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Understands the duration and requirements of energy measure development and delivery<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Prepares and understands proformas<\/i>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Understands general construction methods and has the ability to work with the construction manager to implement the project<\/i><\/span>
