Rothe is seeking a creative and detailed videographer to capture, edit and produce video content for the SSC Video Services Team in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. Job Description:
This position is for a videographer responsible for capturing high-quality video content, editing footage, and producing professional video products that support internal and external communications, training, outreach, and documentation efforts. Functional responsibilities include:
- Video Capture:
- Operate professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to record interviews, events, training sessions, and promotional content.
- Scout and prepare locations for optimal video production.
- Ensure proper framing, lighting, and sound quality during shoots.
- Video Editing:
- Edit raw footage into polished video products using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Incorporate motion graphics, titles, music, voiceovers, and other post-production elements as needed.
- Maintain consistent branding and visual style across all video content.
- Production & Delivery:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and deliverables.
- Manage video production timelines and ensure on-time delivery of final products.
- Archive and organize video assets for future use.
- Quality Assurance:
- Review and revise video content based on feedback.
- Ensure all video products meet technical specifications and organizational standards.
Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment. For this hybrid position the employee must have a reliable internet connection and be able to VPN into the NASA network to conduct work.
Education:
BS in a related field and/or 15 years relevant work experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a videographer, cinematographer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in video editing software and post-production workflows.
- Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to physically lift and/or carry 50lbs. of equipment to work locations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a government, aerospace, or technical environment.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., After Effects).
