Roles and Responsibilities
- Executes 1D thermal system modeling for a range of wind turbine configurations and operational conditions
- Informs system-level architecture trade studies with thermal analysis
- Evaluates thermal performance data to offer potential improvements to the wind turbine design
- Supports thermal system modeling for component design teams upon request or need
- Responsible for validation plans on test units
- Defines and delivers system capability requirements across a range of meteorological, grid, environmental, and operational boundary conditions
- Influences strategy on constraint-based controls and monitoring for thermal protection
- Supports studies to maximize customer value through higher output, efficiency, and corresponding impact to wind turbine systems and components
- Potential for travel up to 10% of the time
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 2 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology
Minimum of 1 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projects

Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
System or product-level mindset
Knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics principles
Field issues, testing and/or validation experience, data analysis skills

Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
