If you are our Thermal Architect, Commercial Notebook/Desktop, you will have a chance to:

  • Apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.

  • Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.

  • Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.

  • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.

  • Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.

  • Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Responsibilities:

· Leads multiple project teams of other Thermal hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of thermal development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, validation, tooling and testing.

· Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on thermal design and development.

· Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.

· Provide domain-specific expertise and overall mechanical/thermal leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

· Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the thermal design organization.

· Provide guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Are you a high-performer? We are looking for an individual with:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Thermal Engineering.

· Typically 12-15 years’ experience.

· Using Flotherm or other thermal simulation tool. Capable of 3D CAD Creo is a plus.

· Using CFD and thermal mockups to validate thermal solution.

· Experience in thermal architecture of Notebook and/or Desktop design.

· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

· Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior subject master levels.

· Easy/quickly adapt to platform planning and innovation working assignments.

· Being growth mindset, strong learning capability, adaptive and flexible to try new approach.

· HOU/Taipei meeting time zone required

The pay range for this role is $147,050 to $230,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
