Temporary | 100% Onsite | Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Labor Day Holiday and Some Weekend Events

Job Purpose or Objective(s): This position acts as a photographer for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. The Staff Photographer provides photographic production and post-production services for CNO related events, portraits, exhibitions, and artwork documentation, etc. 

Primary Tasks:

  1. Plans the composition of the photographs, selecting appropriate equipment, lighting, angle, and background. .Processes and retouches digital files for optimum results

  2. Update Choctaw Nation stock image library.

  3. Edit, tag, renames, and archives digital images to be easily accessible and ready for use within CNO marketing efforts.

  4. Maintain communication with institutional client contacts throughout production process to project completion. 

  5. Provide assistance in video production projects as needed.

  6. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Commercial Photography related field, or two (2) years of directly related experience.
  • Strong media management skills
  • Experience using file sharing services.
  • One year’ continuous professional digital photography experience. 
  • One year’ in-studio and field/camera operation/floor directing experience preferred.
  • Two years’ experience editing with Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud or similar editing software.


Responsibilities
  1. Operates still, motion picture, and/or video cameras for advertising, news, publicity, and technical use. 

  2. Plans the composition of the photographs, selecting appropriate equipment, lighting, angle, and background.Processes and retouches digital files for optimum results

  3. Manage and update Choctaw Nation stock image library.

  4. Manages and oversees CNO photography contracts with outside vendors. 

  5. Edit, tag, renames, and archives digital images to be easily accessible and ready for use within CNO marketing efforts.

  6. Maintain communication with institutional client contacts throughout production process to project completion. 

  7. Provide assistance in video production projects as needed.

  8. Other duties as assigned by management.



Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Photojournalism/Media/Film/TV,  related field, or two (2) years of directly related experience.
  • Strong media management skills
  • Experience using file sharing services.
  • One year’ continuous professional digital photography experience. 
  • One year’ in-studio and field/camera operation/floor directing experience preferred.
  • Two years’ experience editing with Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud or similar editing software.
