What impact you’ll make

As the Technical Leader of the AeroThermal CFD team, you will provide technical guidance and leadership to a team of engineers creating CFD analyses that impact the designs of our gas turbine engines and related hardware. These CFD analyses span the breadth of the Aero Thermal Design (ATD) organization with an emphasis on gas temperature predictions and component thermal analyses.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Facilitate CFD projects worked by team members - help define inputs and methods, monitor progress, perform peer reviews, and support Controlled Title Holder (CTH) reviews.
  • Mentor the technical skills of team members including performing CFD analyses and understanding the physics and design issues of our products.
  • Ensure aerothermal CFD analyses are performed in accordance with design practice (DP) requirements and design template (DT) best practices.
  • Own and continuously improve design templates for aerothermal CFD.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of multidisciplinary team members using clear and effective communication skills, understanding the needs of our internal customers, and maintaining a One Team mindset.
  • Assist in short-term and long-term project planning.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace or comparable)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering industry experience
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. government export control restrictions, and this posting is only for U.S. persons including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and protected individuals (e.g., certain refugees and asylees).  GE Vernova will require proof of status prior to employment.

  • Experience includes at least 3 years of CFD analysis relating to gas turbine engines
  • Advanced degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with NX and CFD tools
  • Understanding of internal GE Vernova business processes
  • Demonstrated abilities to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and to understand the needs of internal and external customers

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is 111,200.00 - 185,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. This position will stay open on the career website until at least Oct 1st , 2025
