Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering, or their designee, performs survey work including, but not limited to, existing topography data collection, survey data reduction, preparation of topographic base drawings, boundary surveys, construction staking and calculations, easement preparation, and property negotiations. Functions as a field inspector, as needed, during the course of construction projects. Performs other various office and field tasks.

Education: An Associate’s Degree in Land Surveying or related field is required. A Baccalaureate Degree in Land Surveying is desirable.
Experience: A minimum of five years’ experience in applying surveying techniques to civil and transportation engineering projects. Registration as a Professional Surveyor in the State of Michigan or Certification as a Survey Technician (Field Track, level III) is desirable.
