Work Schedule: Flexible working hours dependent on student choice and availability. Supervisor and work site availability is 9-5 Mon-Fri, flexible and as needed. The job responsibilities can partially be accomplished remotely.
Desired Length of Employment: Fall Semester
Pay Rate: $11.00
Key Components:
This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only.
- In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners.
- Capture engaging videos and photos to support the creative marketing process inside the clinic, outside the clinic, and within the community, in neighborhoods and at special events.
- Assist with maintaining a consistent identity of the clinic by following the brand guidelines while meeting the marketing requirements.
- Think creatively and develop a robust video and photo library for printed and digital content.
- Assist with managing the clinic’s social media calendar.
- Assist with curating social media content for events, campaigns, and other projects.
Job Description:
- Work with local organization(s) or community partners
- Must be awarded Work-Study through Financial Aid.
- Must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
- Outstanding professional and friendly demeanor and excellent customer service.
- Ability to use good judgment and to exercise discretion.
- Proactive approach to work and conflict resolution.
- Proficient in photography, video and editing for social media and website and associate software to manage image storage and maintenance.
- Google Suite experience.
- Must be organized, disciplined, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and flexible.
- Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Interest in public health, community service, topics of generational poverty, systems of racial inequality, social justice, human or animal health, collective community impact, or animal welfare.
- May assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs
- May assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community projects
- May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners
- May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s)
- Provide excellent customer service to constituents
- Utilize available resources to perform duties accordingly
- May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community
- Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information
- May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Acquired Skills: As a result of working as the photographer/videographer marketing student worker, the student will have the opportunity to gain and further develop their technical skills, communication, management, attention to detail, adaptability, and customer service skills.
