Overview

The Rapid Capabilities Team at Anduril is integral to our mission, focusing on rapid prototyping and the iterative advancement of our broad range of autonomous systems. This team works on challenging projects and is at the forefront of innovation in mission autonomy systems.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Rapid Capabilities Engineer to join our team focused on developing cutting-edge unmanned systems and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, robotics, or a related field, and a passion for innovation in defense technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test new unmanned systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rapidly prototype and iterate on designs.
  • Integrate hardware and software components to create seamless, functional systems.
  • Conduct field tests and provide hands-on support for deployed systems.
  • Analyze performance data and implement improvements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Document designs, tests, and processes for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing unmanned systems or related technologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with hardware integration and embedded systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Willing and able to travel on an as needed basis to remote test sites throughout the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, or autonomous systems.
  • Knowledge of defense industry standards and practices.
  • Prior experience with field testing and deployment of unmanned systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for unmanned systems.
  • Experience piloting unmanned systems or/and RC aircraft

US Salary Range

$120,000 - $213,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
