Overview:
Develop high-quality photography solutions for use in marketing materials and to advance Denison’s marketing efforts. Take formal portraits of students, faculty, staff and campus events for the website and social media posts. Capture campus buildings and landscapes through drone photography. Manage campus photo and video library and work collaboratively with the university archivist to identify archival assets. Produce — from conception to completion — creative, informative, interesting videos, largely for Denison’s social media.
Essential Job Functions:
Photography: Responsible for overseeing the entire production process — from pre-production planning to post-production — for all major photography projects. Lead creative direction and collaborate with University Communications & Marketing (UCM) leadership and campus partners to develop visual concepts
Videography: With the associate director of multimedia, develop concepts and implement videography shoots, editing, and final delivery
Digital asset management: manage all digital assets, refine storage approaches, and advise on best practices and solutions for digital asset management
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years in multimedia production
Expertise in equipment setup, lighting, audio, color-correcting, and editing
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in cinema/film, communications, or other relevant degree
Ability and demonstrated experience in the planning and production of multimedia content.
Demonstrated experience in creating and curating content for social media channels
Physical Demands:
Repetitive kneeling, standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs.
