Senior Solar Designer for a management services platform

Today, the majority of their projects focus on solar installations and residential construction.


The Role:
They're looking for a remote Senior Solar Designer who can ensure quality control of all designs from the designers and actually do the designs themselves, not wait for a revision when it's needed.


Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering for projects in our pipeline.
• Complete system designs for PV projects, including site plans, mechanical racking and mounting plans, single-line electrical drawings, specification of BOS location and interconnection details, and labeling.
• Provide engineering support to operations as needed.
• Understand the optimal design applications and design limitations of our products.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with Aroura design software preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Minimum 5 years of design experience related to renewable energy, photovoltaic systems, electrical systems, and construction practices.
• BS degree in ME or EE or related field preferred.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner.
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
