Travel Requirements: Up to 40%

We’re seeking a Sales Manager for our Thermal Spray division in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of inside and outside sales professionals. Your focus will be on coaching, mentoring, and driving performance to achieve business growth and customer success. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to align sales strategies with operational goals.

 Sales Manager Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business leadership to define team objectives, KPIs, and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering leaders to synchronize plans and meet monthly business targets.
  • Present market insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership to support growth initiatives.
  • Manage and grow strategic key accounts, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pricing strategies, and growth plans to support business planning.
  • Utilize CRM tools to monitor team performance, track customer engagement, and manage the sales pipeline effectively.

Sales Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in the Thermal Spray Metal Powders market (preferred).
  • Proven ability to sell at the executive level with strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
  • Self-directed with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, and commercial functions.
  • Experience managing sales teams and driving results in a team-oriented environment; aerospace and manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
