The Regulatory Reporting Process and Data Lead is responsible is for reviewing, challenging and updating the extensive process and data documentation created as part of the US IRR Program. The role holder will also identify and implement process simplification ideas in conjunction with Report Owners, with particular focus on automating manual report production activities including within OneSumX. The reporting obligations are primarily to the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB), the Office of Comptroller of Currency (OCC), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).

 

As our Process and Data Lead:

  • Primary responsibilities are to create a BAU framework for managing and improving and simplifying US regulatory reporting processes, including documentation created as part of the US IRR Program. Entity scope includes regulatory reporting for HSBC Bank (USA) N.A., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. and HSBC North America Holdings Inc. consolidated and its subsidiaries
  • Work in collaboration with Data teams (DAO) and upstream data providers to improve reporting processes and eliminate complex data sourcing and manual production activities.
  • Endeavor to automate manual report production activities, including report configuration within key reporting applications such as OneSumX.
  • The Regulatory Reporting Issues Management Lead will be required to work closely with other Finance teams, including RWA Production, Capital Planning, CCAR, Line of Business Finance Teams, in addition to Risk and Business Units teams.

 

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Ideally have five to ten years proven regulatory reporting experience, or equivalent for a major US bank or US Branch of a Foreign Bank subject to Risk Based Capital requirements of the FRB/OCC.
  • Experience with preparation of Call and FR Y-9C or Broker-Dealer reports for a large US bank is preferred for the role.
  • Familiarity with HSBC’s critical reporting applications such as FTP and OneSumX is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills and proactive approach.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial services and products preferred.

Your final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
