Reports To: Regional Manager (RM) or Regional VP of Operations (RVP)

Supervises: Home Salon Team and Assigned Salon Directors. Candidate will be Salon Manager for the Grant Avenue location AND District Manager for the PA Grant Ave, Roxborough and West Chester locations.

General Purpose of Position
The Quasi District Manager serves in a dual-capacity leadership role, maintaining full responsibility for the operation and performance of an assigned home salon while providing District Manager leadership and support to a designated group of additional salons. This position is responsible for driving sales and operational performance, developing leaders, ensuring compliance with company standards, controlling expenses, maximizing client satisfaction, and supporting the overall success of the assigned district.
The Quasi District Manager must effectively balance daily salon leadership responsibilities with multi-unit oversight, serving as a role model, coach, trainer, and operational resource. This individual must solve problems, make informed decisions, manage time wisely, and lead teams to achieve maximum results while protecting and promoting the Sun Tan City brand experience.

Work Schedule
  •  The Quasi District Manager is required to work a minimum 5-day workweek of 40 hours per week.
  •  The Quasi District Manager is required to work a varying number of opening, mid, and/or closing shifts as determined by business trends, staffing needs, and district responsibilities.
  •  Schedule flexibility is required to support both the home salon and assigned district locations. This may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel between salons as business needs dictate.
  •  Regular travel is required to conduct salon visits, coaching sessions, audits, meetings, training, and operational support activities throughout the assigned district.
  • Daily vehicle travel may occasionally exceed two to three hours depending on salon locations and business needs.
  • Overnight travel may be required on occasion for training, meetings, salon support, or special projects.
  • Must maintain reliable transportation to travel between salons, attend meetings, visit banking institutions as needed for the home salon, and support district operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities

Home Salon Leadership
  •  Uphold the Sun Tan City experience in the home salon to promote the upscale image and continued success of the brand.
  •  Directly manage all day-to-day salon operations.
  •  Recruit, hire, train, coach, develop, evaluate, and retain salon staff.
  •  Drive sales, membership, EFT, retail, and operational performance through ongoing coaching and accountability.
  •  Ensure exceptional client service and promptly resolve client concerns.
  •  Manage staffing levels, scheduling, labor utilization, and payroll performance.
  •  Oversee inventory, cash management, loss prevention, facility maintenance, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  •  Utilize company reporting tools to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
  •  Develop and execute action plans to achieve revenue, productivity, and operational goals.
  •  Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, wage and hour requirements, and operational standards.
District Leadership Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to assigned Salon Directors and salons within the district.
  • Coach management teams to improve sales, productivity, profitability, and client service results.
  •  Conduct regular salon visits to evaluate operational execution and leadership effectiveness.
  •  Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and developing future Salon Directors and district leaders.
  •  Ensure quality Tanning Consultants and Salon Directors are hired and trained properly throughout assigned locations.
  •  Monitor district-wide performance metrics and develop action plans to improve results.
  •  Perform audits to ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures, recordkeeping requirements, inventory controls, and cash handling standards.
  •  Ensure strong expense control with emphasis on labor, inventory, and supply expenses.
  •  Assist with succession planning and bench development to ensure leadership continuity.
  •  Support salons during management vacancies, leaves of absence, staffing shortages, or business transitions.
  •  Maintain awareness of market trends, traffic patterns, competitive activity, and staffing needs throughout the district.
  •  Promote company initiatives and ensure consistent execution of operational standards across all assigned salons.

Experience
  • College education preferred, but not required.
  • Management and/or Sales experience required.
  • Multi-unit management experience preferred.
  •  Proven ability to develop and coach leaders.
  •  Basic computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  •  Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  •  Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  •  Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop talent.
  • Team-building skills.
  •  Ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up effectively.
  •  Ability to analyze financial and operational reports and implement action plans based on results.
Physical Requirements
  •  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  •  Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
  •  Ability to lift items or assist in lifting heavy boxes and supplies.
  •  Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from the floors.
  •  Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and general maintenance as needed.
  •  Reliable transportation and the ability to complete required salon visits, meetings, trainings, and other business events.
  •  Daily travel between salons may be required.
  •  Overnight travel may be required on occasion.
