PV/Solar Development Engineer - Large Energy/Mechanical company - Irvine, CA

The company has $40+ million in backlog of large commercial solar projects and is making an effort to expand the PV/Solar team.

This position has remote-flexibility if someone needs it, and the projects are predominantly in Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire.

POSITION:
  • Solar Development Engineer – Large Commercial Projects
    • REMOTE-Flexibility

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Prior experience in Design of Commercial PV/Solar projects
  • Team Player, Ability to Work-Independently, Detail-Oriented

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive the Engineering/Development of Solar Construction Projects
  • Receive the proposed design/bid from the Sr. Sales Engineer
  • Perform local Job-Walks for project planning (15-25% of the time)
  • Establish schedule project milestone phases and deliverables
  • Coordinate with engineering subcontractors, internal team members, clients, etc
  • Design with AutoCAD (preferred), Bluebeam, Revit, etc
  • Create Permit-Level drawings and collaborate with internal and external resources.
  • Create Submittal packages
  • Track, schedule, and procure major equipment
  • PLUS – previous experience with PowerClerk submissions
